WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS HIGH SCHOOL: Why This Production?
The Lynched Among Us is a theatrical composition of true stories told through dramatized sketches that include music, dance, and poetry, performed by a dynamic cast and the wrongfully convicted men themselves: the Voices of Injustice. Comprised of 6 men who served a combined 126 years for crimes they didn’t commit, the production reveals shocking glimpses of their dark courtroom journeys as they are pushed through the system with amazing ease. Based in a courtroom setting, this production highlights the systemic attitudes and practices driving wrongful convictions, and what we all can do in the fight against it! Your sponsorship will help us in using the arts to spread our message of wrongful conviction awareness and criminal justice reform across Ohio, to pay our casts, to pay for props, rehearsal space and travel expenses, costumes, hire a lighting, sound, and film crew, as well as purchase materials to promote and market the event across Ohio. Help us make history with something new, exciting and powerful!
